Getting Started

The relationship and level of comfort between a client and therapist has been shown to be the most important factor for positive therapy outcomes. I am happy to offer phone or video consultations so that you can ask questions you may have and to make sure we are a good fit for what you are looking for. I look forward to hearing from you.

After completing your intake paperwork we get to meet. The intake appointment is not like a typical therapy session. This is because I want to get answers to questions that will help me understand you in a larger scope. I want to get a sense of who you are, what brings you to therapy, and why now.

The intake also gives you another chance to ask questions you may have not asked during the consultation.

I offer occasional family sessions for established clients. These sessions can be useful if there is a challenge that is best discussed in a safe space with the counselor as a facilitator.

For parents of minor clients I check-in as clinically appropriate (typically beween 1-3 monts) to discuss treatment. Additionally, I am available as needed for consultation and to answer questions.

My office is located at 1 Newburg Avenue in Catonsville, MD. There is free parking next to the office building.

After school appointments are limited at this time.

It should be noted that my office is on the second floor requiring walking up one flight of stairs. It is therefore, unfortunately, not ADA accessible and telehealth services are recommended.

Cancellations must be made 24-hours in advance of the scheduled appointment. If notice is not provided the cost of the session will be charged.
